I spent 2 1/2 weeks in Australia in September and I looooved it. It's such a huge place, we didn't have time to see everything we wanted, but the people were very, very nice and the culture is laid back while still managing to be productive. It's about the only place outside of the US that I've been where I wouldn't mind living.
Well, and then there are all those reasons you just listed.
