I'm watching a live online broadcast by Charlie A'Court at the web site Stageit.com. Some of you may remember Charlie, a wonderful blues/soul singer/musician from Canada. Here is information about the series:

"Charlie has been invited to perform at the prestigious Woodford Folk Festival in Australia this December.
This is a wonderfully exciting opportunity but can also be a very expensive undertaking. Charlie is calling out to all his fans, hoping you might support his efforts to introduce his music to Australia.

Every Wednesday in November, Charlie will be performing on StageIt to raise funds to cover the travel expenses and you can help directly by buying a ticket to any of the shows as well as tipping. All show are PAY WHAT YOU CAN.

Tonight's show was fun. Charlie played acoustic guitar and sang songs from his pre-released albums, plus one from the album he plans to release next year. I'm sorry I missed this -- I have heard a lot about Charlie over the years but have never caught his music. Hopefully he'll do more of these! StageIt and ConcertWindow are really great sites for streaming live concerts...that is really the wave of the future.

He's doing a 30 minute show every Wednesday night in November. The shows are at 7pm my time, which is central time.
