Taylor tweeted about this song today and I went and had a listen. First Bill Withers is amazing and does the song with all the emotion it needs. Then I have to wonder why the hell this song with its lyrics? Does he just recognized a well written song perfectly performed or is his mind in a dark spot. I have to admit that even tho I know how alcohol has effected his life .... I have heard all the mamma stories..... I lean toward the Taylor recognizes a well written song. I have played it over and over just to enjoy the way the words work together and the music is subtle and then punctuates. Really good song. I wish I knew how to post it here for your listening pleasure.

Thank you Mac! I can hear Taylor record this. I think it would do well on radio. It tells a story. It is simple enough to sing live but the movement is complicated and keeps your interest. I could even see Taylor ending it with a gun finger to his head.... shades of AI.

The entire Bill Withers Live at Carnegie Hall album is pure genius. Taylor's tweet makes me want to pull out my copy and give it a listen again. Powerful stuff!

I was not familiar with this song until Taylor tweeted it. I made the mistake of going to read the lyrics FIRST. Wow, totally depressing! I thought this is the biggest downer of a song I've ever heard!

OK, so lets see how it sounds. It was amazing how the music changed the whole "feel" of the song. I'm not good with words... it just really lightened it up and made it fun. Love the vibe Withers gives it. Taylor sure is tweeting a lot of music lately. And he sure seems to love LA or SOMETHING out there. He's always seems sad when he has to leave.
