Hurricane Irene
As I watch the storm track models and the estimated time of impact, I'm very concerned about my dear friends who may be in its path. Are any of you in danger? Grouphug

Now I can't wait for Taylor to move to Nashville-B'ham-NYC-LA-Orange Beach-East Bumblefuck in June-Aug-Sept-Dec and work on his roots-americana-jazz-rock-blues-country-soul-rap-jackson browne-elvis album, so that we can listen to it in Jan-March-May 2012! - Freebird

RE: Hurricane Irene
Hey Sue, the weather report here changes daily....they really can't predict either the track or the strength of the storm. So far the latest is that our area of New England is supposed to get hit late Saturday and all day Sunday. Whether it's mostly high winds or mostly rain is the main question now.

Once we get through Sunday everything will be fine. They're predicting the best week of the summer all week next week. I guess that's known as the "calm after the storm". LOL

RE: Hurricane Irene
The current track has it hitting us late Sunday. Looks like it's going through the CT River Valley which means I'll be on the heavy wind side of the storm. It's lost a bit of strength I guess but still need to keep an eye on it.

As Linda said, it's a beautiful day here today. Perfect weather for bringing in all the deck furniture. LOL!

RE: Hurricane Irene
It is beautiful here today but we should get the brunt of the storm Saturday night and Sunday.

David is kayaking up in Maine until late Sunday night so I get to ride this out alone well me and the cats.

RE: Hurricane Irene
Scary! Are cats instinctive when it comes to a change in what's normal or do they just hide? Wink

RE: Hurricane Irene
All of our cats are very restless and anxious-they definitely know something's coming! We'll have to round them all up and get them in tonight-should be interesting having everyone inside! Bump

Just saw my first boarded up window (Cape Cod procrastinators) and the tourists are leaving in droves. I think they're more concerned about flooding than wind...

Stay safe everyone!

I'm a little scared about the possible power outages-no internet for a COUPLE OF DAYS????? Fear Haha

put butter in between his thighs and he will slide right through the door Haha

RE: Hurricane Irene
I've been trying to get David and tell him to come home but he is in a no cell service area maybe I'll get him today.

My cats are starting to get antsy and I have the cat carrier all ready to get them all in one place.

Keep well everyone.

RE: Hurricane Irene
The apprehension must be palpable. I'm getting very worried just listening to the weather channel, worried for all of you. Check in whenever you can.
