You Need Some Texas Casey James Concert
Casey James came home to Texas on July 1 playing to a sold out crowd at Billy Bob's Roadhouse.

And what a homecoming it was Casey serenade us for over two hours including a 25 minute acoustic set. There was a mix of new music and some amazing covers including a bluesy version of Bill Withers Use Me. Made me imagine a duet between him and Taylor one working the harmonica and the other killing the guitar.

Despite the 103 degree temperature I had a great time in Fort Worth and it didn't hurt that I got to talk with Casey for a few minutes.

PS: Spoke with Casey's mom Debra and she is a full blown member of the Soul Patrol and would love to see Taylor and Casey do something together. Thud

Hey Kathy, what a show! I watched some vids over at mjs. I'd love to hear "That's Why I'm Feeling Blue" in a quieter setting. I loved it! Good comments, too.

Now I can't wait for Taylor to move to Nashville-B'ham-NYC-LA-Orange Beach-East Bumblefuck in June-Aug-Sept-Dec and work on his roots-americana-jazz-rock-blues-country-soul-rap-jackson browne-elvis album, so that we can listen to it in Jan-March-May 2012! - Freebird

Kathy your review just brought a big old grin to my face. I can totally picture you enjoying this show, and all the accompanying goodies, to the hilt! So glad you got to go. And a Casey/Taylor matchup would be superb, but we might have to have an ambulance on hand to revive you! Haha Puffyheart
