So I got the album the other day. Gotta say the music is pretty damn electrifying. He really is a great musician. His voice is limited in its range, but he makes good use of it. The more upbeat songs suited him, IMHO, better than the slow ones. But I'm loving the album. He is awesome on keyboards...just awesome.

I had been anticipating this album for so long and I still haven't gotten it. Haha

Thanks for the review Laurie. Now I definitely have to get it!

It took me some time with his vocals. Hugh is British, as most know, and while the accent is underlying, to be honest, he doesn't have a typical blues voice or range...but it grew on me and there are some brilliant vocal moments for sure!

Hey, I saw Hugh Laurie on CBS Sunday Morning this morning. Good piece.

Now I can't wait for Taylor to move to Nashville-B'ham-NYC-LA-Orange Beach-East Bumblefuck in June-Aug-Sept-Dec and work on his roots-americana-jazz-rock-blues-country-soul-rap-jackson browne-elvis album, so that we can listen to it in Jan-March-May 2012! - Freebird

Its was a great album. I have recently for the first time heard his collection and was really impressed by what kind of efforts he puts into his songs.Good job.
