Taylor's 2007 Tours - A Trip Down Memory Lane
Four years ago today, Taylor kicked off his first solo tour in Jacksonville, FL. It's hard to believe that much time has passed. I thought we'd do a thread with our memories of that year. I'll post a video for each day that he had a show. Would love for people to chime in with memories, their own videos and their own pics they may have taken. I'll be tweeting the video of the day as well.

Let's start in Jacksonville, FL with a little Runaround where he showed us the energy we would all come to know, love and expect from that SFB!

Oooh I love this idea! I was at the Jacksonville show. A friend of mine and I drove to Florida to see Taylor's first three shows...a road trip adventure that I'll never forget! Taylor was of course sick the day of the show (lol), but as per usual, pulled out all the stops and gave a high energy performance. I remember sensing that he was a little nervous at the beginning (the show felt a little rushed when it started out), but as soon as he saw what a great reception he got, he let go and had a great time. He was, as my father used to say, "all wound up like an eight-day clock".

I did not take these photos. I was so naive back then. I right clicked my head off, never thinking of crediting the photographer in my tags. Bad Sue, bad. Anywho, my favs from the Jacksonville concert:

Now I can't wait for Taylor to move to Nashville-B'ham-NYC-LA-Orange Beach-East Bumblefuck in June-Aug-Sept-Dec and work on his roots-americana-jazz-rock-blues-country-soul-rap-jackson browne-elvis album, so that we can listen to it in Jan-March-May 2012! - Freebird

Just want to emphasize that even if you didn't attend a show but have a favorite video or pic you've seen from it, please feel free to contribute!

Huggy
I have a feeling I'll be putting my external hard drive to good use.

RE: Taylor's 2007 Tours - A Trip Down Memory Lane
Ohhh, Tampa. If Jacksonville was polished and precise, Tampa was its complete happy joyous loosey goosey opposite. The tags came out, he was playful and happy, and he had everyone eating out of the palm of his hand. The Tampa newspaper in the next morning's review ran a headline that said "Hicks is suprisingly solid, and delightfully dorky". Ha!!

When I look back at all the shows that I went to in 2007, Tampa definitely falls out in the top five. What a night!

Good choice! I wonder how many people were in the audience that night who were hearing Taylor's blues for the first time. Loved the bounce and lean.
