RE: Maplewood Performaning Arts Center, Maplewood, MN - 11/5/10
I cannot believe my luck this year!! I'm beyond happy!
Theatre seating, 276 capacity. $40. Now I can't wait for Taylor to move to Nashville-B'ham-NYC-LA-Orange Beach-East Bumblefuck in June-Aug-Sept-Dec and work on his roots-americana-jazz-rock-blues-country-soul-rap-jackson browne-elvis album, so that we can listen to it in Jan-March-May 2012! - Freebird |

RE: Maplewood Performaning Arts Center, Maplewood, MN - 11/5/10
I called him. He's at the lake cabin, closing it up for the winter and taking in the fabulous fall color. He gave me a maybe.
Truth be told, I'd rather have my online buddies with me. I know that's not going to happen. Logistics, finances, burnout, and all. I guess I may have to settle for having a market on the audio and visual for this one. If my current project closes early....I might end up back in MN.
If it happens...I'll go Sue...

RE: Maplewood Performing Arts Center, Maplewood, MN - 11/5/10
It's a glorious crisp and sunny day and I'm going to hear AND see Taylor and the guys.
I'm excited! I don't think I'll be taking photos though. It would be hard to compete with the stunners Louise and her hubby takes. Maybe...who knows. Chubbyhubby says if I want video I'll have to film it myself. I don't think I could sit still long enough to compete with what he captured at the Dakota.I am a little bummed about the published length of the concert - 1 hour. I'm afraid the amount of tags will be kept to a minimum. I LIVE FOR TAGS! I'll report back later.

I understand what you mean Sue, but I have to confess that's the part of the Taylor fandom in general that saddens me quite a bit -- somehow there's been this culture created where people seem to compete for who can get the best pics or video or post them first or get the most accolades for their work. The result is that others may feel like they don't want to post their stuff because "it's not as good as (fill in the blank name)". It should just be fun, not a contest. Sue, if you decide to take pictures, do it just for your own enjoyment, and "competition" be damned! ![]() Don't feel pressured to do anything except enjoy the show -- I can't wait to hear your recollections of it afterward! Taylor shows are the best!
