Who Said "No" To Dancing with the Stars - 9/1/10

Taylor is not among those mentioned. What they get paid is interesting though. Quote:But for those who do, it is lucrative. Each star is said to get $125,000 for agreeing to do the show, three weeks of rehearsal prior to the start and for the first two episodes, even if they are eliminated on week one. After that, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the amount increases per episode: $10,000 an episode for weeks three and four, $20,000 an episode for weeks five and six, $30,000 an episode for weeks seven and eight and $50,000 an episode for the final two weeks. Wondering how intense the three weeks of rehearsals are? Daily? And for how long? I bet it's a commitment to start off that show.

I would like to see him on DWTS. Think he would do really well.

It is daily rehearsals through the majority of the competition. The season is short though. So if he did want to do this at some point it wouldn't take more than 3 or 4 months. It would be interesting to see what kind of shape it would get him in and how tight his outfits would be.

I have mixed feelings about Taylor doing this. If he's no good he'll just be making more of a joke of himself. But if he IS good it could could be a great move for him and his career. I love his funky dancing on stage but can he do an actual dance dance? We saw him trying to handjive and that made us chuckle. lol
I'd love to see him do all those dances with his hot almost nekked partner. And go far in the competition. It would be so fun! But is he a good enough dancer to not just be a joke and one of the firsts to go? Oh dear. When Donny was on I was just excited because I knew going in that he was a great dancer and had done alot of dancing in his career (though not actual ballroom). But I don't know the full extent of Taylor's dancing ability. |

I'm in the Avoidthisshowatallcosts camp. I'd like to think Taylor has more integrity than to submit himself to such scrutiny and probable ridicule just for a buck. At the risk of possibly offending, I think those who would like him to do this show just want to see him on TV, regardless. See him with a woman, any woman. Get a peek at his chesticle fur, meaty thigh, and junk hugging costumes. Get off on every ass sway and shake. Not me!
That's what I use THR for. I have my scruples, ya know. Now I can't wait for Taylor to move to Nashville-B'ham-NYC-LA-Orange Beach-East Bumblefuck in June-Aug-Sept-Dec and work on his roots-americana-jazz-rock-blues-country-soul-rap-jackson browne-elvis album, so that we can listen to it in Jan-March-May 2012! - Freebird |

Take away the possible ridicule and I might even get on the bandwagon. I mean junk hugging costumes and meaty thigh.

I'm so mixed about this DWTS thing...part of me thinks he'll win America over easily but if he really does badly the ridicule could be awful...does anybody know if he was even asked...

I think Taylor does reality TV really well & has no problem taking himself less than serious.

"Dancing Queen" anyone? I hope he doesn't go on this show. He has good timing and rhythm at times dancing during a concert, but I don't think he would do well with a choreographed dance routine week after week. Sue you had me tempted with the costumes.
