Ok, since I really don't follow Casey at all, is this a good fit for him? Country? I've heard good things about him so I'm happy he got a deal. Hope it works out for him.

Personally I'm not sure. It's been a good fit for Danny Gokey and he was definitely not country while on AI. Casey has that bluesy feel, but he is a country boy. And as Taylor recently said, that's where all the good songs are.

I think it will be a good fit for Casey who sees himself more as a blues rocker. Country is the catch all genre and Casey is definately not pop.
Being a Texas boy he has a background in country music I just hope he is not overproduced and over produced which is the curse of Idol alumni first albums.
