IMHO everyone from Season 9 has been forgotten on purpose.

It really is surprising in the last few years how little the American Idol machine has worked to make their winners into juggernauts along the lines of Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. In fact, isn't Taylor the last Idol to even get a full solo tour?

I do wish success for Lee because he seems like a nice guy. Maybe he'll head over to Whomp.

Idol didn't have anything to do with his solo tour, did they? Thought that was all Taylor's doings...

You're correct TMW, susiefortay posted that at NFF. There is a quote from Mike Douglas in the Birmingham Magazine article,

Quote:Once Hicks won American Idol, he fulfilled all of the obligations he had under the original agreement and then he went out in search of a new destiny. “We met with [record industry legend] Clive Davis to discuss future deals and we made a mutual decision to part ways with American Idol,” Douglas says.

“At that point we had our own touring company set up for Taylor. We set up two national tours for Taylor as a solo artist,” Douglas says.

All the money from the 2007 tour went directly to Taylor's own touring company

Taylor did not part ways with Arista until 2008. The first tour was sponsered by the record company. Remember LIMBO had to audition to be his touring band.
