Karen - Speak Out

I wouldn't have been able to make it through this day without the love and support of so many of you, with whom I was on the phone and in PMs most of the day. One thing this experience taught me was to appreciate those I hold dear because life really is short and fragile.

And now I'll join my voice in the big chorus of prayers in hopes that this girl will be back in the pink as soon as possible and that she and her family will be surrounded by all the love and support they need.

Well, not only did I falter and lash out at God profusely this afternoon; I laughed loudly thinking how Karen is going to get back online and just laugh her ass off at this horrific misunderstanding. After all, Mr. Hicks WAS in the holding room next to her. How could we....

That said, my profound prayers are with her for a speedy recovery and I pray for strength for her family.

It has been a hell of a day.

Karen is still in guarded condition and I know we are all pulling for her with our thoughts and prayers.

I did learn two things today

1) the internet is the biggest fucking game of telephone ever.

and

2) remember to tell those you hold near and dear how much they mean to you when you have the chance.

This was one hell of a day. Karen is in my prayers, and you are all in my heart. Please keep me informed.
I learned that there are 4 glasses of wine in a bottle of wine, and I needed every one of those today!

Was so happy to find out the the first report was a mistake!! I was so distraught to read the tweets & DM's, but was lucky to think the worst had happened for only about 1/2 hr, NOT the whole day like some of you. Continued prayers for Karen's full recovery and for her family. Can't wait to have her back among us, bringing those laughs and smiles that only she can! Love you girl! Get well quick!

I spoke to Karen's husband this morning and her status remains the same. Please continue your prayers for her.
