I have mixed feelings about the picture. It definitely does not represent what he actually looks like in person. As FB said earlier, he is looking very good these days. I do think it looks like "Taylor Hicks the Actor" though.

I love the photo. I'm immediately drawn to the eyes, warm and honest. I like your thespian take, Mac. He was probably coached by the photographer to position his hand as such.
I think some of us are used to seeing a more chiseled face evident in his profile and in performance shots. Fuller faces tend to look older. Now I can't wait for Taylor to move to Nashville-B'ham-NYC-LA-Orange Beach-East Bumblefuck in June-Aug-Sept-Dec and work on his roots-americana-jazz-rock-blues-country-soul-rap-jackson browne-elvis album, so that we can listen to it in Jan-March-May 2012! - Freebird |

I like the picture but the hand positioning reminds me of Deb coaching Uncle Rico when she took his glamour shot in Napoleon Dynamite.
