RE: Magic Bag - June 22 - Ferndale, Michigan
You could have heard a pin drop during IAOK! I had both hands resting on my mouth. Not for fear of releasing a sigh, but of a disbelief in what I was experiencing. My soul was deeply touched.

I know I would have. Someone described it over on NESP and I said that if video surfaces I am sure that I will be sitting down to have a good ole cry.

See! I said exactly that on HQ, about the hush and you could hear a pin drop and right away someone had to debate that....said it was NOT at all quiet and in fact was a yawn and a great time for a bathroom break. That's why I get so discouraged about message boards at times. It's all perception I guess. From where I was, in the trenches, in the pit....it was unbelievably silent and I too was so touched and felt it was like...dare I say something spiritual..?....but I felt the moment throughout my entire body and had goose bumps. And Taylor sung it beautifully, hands crossed over his guitar, eyes closed as if he too were having a moment....he was in a zone. I think he was in that zone, that magical zone all night. Simply indescribable.

I agree. It is all perception. Maybe I went to a place in my mind where there was nothing but the sound of Taylor's voice. I think the majority of the up front people knew how special this was. We respected the vulnerability of the singer and the song.
